Paradise Villas to undergo operational leadership change

Paradise Villas in Little Cayman
Paradise Villas in Little Cayman is a unique destination for those seeking a tranquil getaway featuring features 12 traditional cottages steps away from the sea.

Active Capital Ltd. (ACL), a Dart company, today announced that it has engaged in discussions with a third party to take control of the operations of Paradise Villas in Little Cayman.

The transition is set to take place after ACL ceases running the operations on 10 July 2025. The move is focused on ensuring the highest levels of hospitality continues to be delivered to guests. ACL will retain ownership of the centrally located property on the smallest of the three Cayman Islands

“Paradise Villas has earned the reputation as a highly desired idyllic getaway. This is in no small part due to the current leadership team, which has been actively involved in the daily operations,” said Matthew Bishop, Dart’s executive vice president overseeing ACL’s operations.

"We are confident guests can expect operations to continue as normal, with the same commitment to excellence, service quality and hospitality standards that have become synonymous with Paradise Villas.”

Bishop said all current 13 employees will receive severance packages above and beyond local statutory requirements. Those who seek to pursue other opportunities will be helped with finding potential placements at other Dart hospitality properties in the Cayman Islands.

Paradise Villas is a unique destination for those seeking a tranquil getaway. The ocean-facing accommodation features 12 traditional cottages that sit just a few feet from the water’s edge and also features a pool and hot tub with decking overlooking the sea. Repeat guests often describe the villas as their “home away from home” due to the warm and welcoming “Caymankind” hospitality they receive.

The Hungry Iguana, the on-site restaurant, has been a favourite among guests and visitors to the smallest of the Cayman Islands with a menu offering dishes from local and international cuisines as well as a range of cocktails perfect for sipping while sunset-watching. Bishop said another local third-party operator has also been identified and discussions have begun with that entity about managing that food and beverage offering.

Paradise Villas is scheduled to close during the summer months of 2025 with re-opening scheduled for November, in time for the traditional peak of the Cayman Islands tourist season.
