Dart Property Manager Lara Conolly recently earned the prestigious Certified Property Manager designation from the Institute of Real Estate Management.
It's believed she is the only current CPM in the Cayman Islands and the second individual from Cayman to achieve this distinction.
“With the CPM designation, it’s more than just a title — it’s proof that I have the expertise to really optimise the value of any property," Conolly said. "It definitely gives me a leg up in the industry, opening doors to new opportunities, expanding my network and setting me apart from other property managers."
The CPM designation is earned by successfully completing eight specialised courses that cover a broad range of topics, including budgeting, marketing, maintenance operations, risk management and investment performance. Candidates must also pass a two-part CPM Capstone assessment, which includes a Management Plan Skills Assessment and a final exam.
"I’ve always had a passion for continuous learning and self-improvement, which really drove me to take on the challenge," Conolly said. "On top of that, I’m incredibly grateful to Dart for their unwavering support throughout the entire process. My mentors and colleagues also played a huge role in keeping me motivated. We’re constantly pushing each other to do better, and that little bit of friendly competition definitely helps keep things exciting."
Jeff Wight, Conolly's manager at Dart, said Conolly's designation enhances the standard of property management throughout the Cayman Islands.
"[Conolly] went from joining our team with little to no property management experience to being the only person in the Cayman Islands with a CPM designation — one of the most well-respected certifications in our industry. We are incredibly proud of her and grateful to have her as part of the Camana Bay team,” Wight said.
