Class of 2018
Penn State University, USA
Matthew works with a global medical company, based in California, creating diagnostic and therapeutic solutions for people with lung disease. With a masters in electrical engineering from Penn State, his interest is in engineering computer systems and solutions that boost productivity and potential. During summer internships at Dart, he gained experience in civil engineering, project management and AutoCAD. At Penn State, he did research with the Multidimensional Image Processing Lab leading to his current career in medical imaging. When he’s not programming, Matthew enjoys time at the beach, football, music and video games.

Matthew’s most valuable work experience at Dart was his involvement with Kimpton Seafire Resort + Spa from conception to completion, as it gave him the chance to see a large-scale project in practice while studying the theory in engineering.
For his post-graduate studies, Matthew chose to research image processing and computer vision within the scope of medical images. His thesis involved classifying video frames for bronchoscopic procedures to filter out uninformative data.
Looking to the future, Matthew hopes to build a portfolio of projects that have substantial benefit to global audiences.
