Kelsie was the first recipient of the William A. Dart Memorial Scholarship in 2012. Having studied Hotel & Lodging Management at university, her first job was in hospitality. She soon joined Dart’s People & Culture team, where she is now a Business Partner providing strategic HR support to teams across the organisation. As a Dart Scholar alum herself, Kelsie now sits on the Dart scholarship selection panel and mentors young scholars.
I’ve learned to get comfortable with being uncomfortable, because this is where you learn and grow into a better version of yourself.
Kelsie's highlights
Kelsie first started working at Dart as a summer intern during high school and has spent the majority of her professional career at Dart. Being a Dart Scholar gave her opportunities to gain experience overseas, including an internship at the Hilton Hotel in Charlotte. As a mentor to the next generation of Dart Scholars, her advice is to take advantage of every opportunity, even if it’s outside their chosen career path, and to travel and explore as well as study hard.
Kelsie aspires to make a positive contribution in the community and to continue being involved in the development and advancement of people, whether personal or professional.
